Extreme climate events and emerging terrorist attacks have in recent years led to ever-rising numbers of cross-border forced migration and internal displacement populations. The Republic of China (Taiwan) is not only an indispensible member of international community but also a well developed country. As a mature and responsible democracy, we deeply believe in universal values of peace, freedom, democracy, and human rights.
Based upon the shared values and common interests of all participating countries, we are willing and capable of meaningful participation and proactive contribution in regional and international cooperation projects in the fields of HADR and medical support missions. Footprints of Medical Affairs Bureau teams of The Republic of China (Taiwan) have extended across Macedonia, Haiti, Philippines, Palau and Nepal etc. to render HADR medical support missions. With experience, expertise, and capacity accumulated over the years in HADR mission support missions, we have every confidence that medical teams of MAB, The Republic of China (Taiwan) is equipped and determined to play an even more proactive role in partnering with regional countries in joint HADR medical missions, training exercises, and other engagement opportunities.
