Guided by Force Buildup & Combat Readiness Principle of Ministry of National Defense (MND), Department of Medical Planning oversees formulating and supervising of military medicine policies and institutions; compiling of annual budget; planning and executing organizational designs and Table of Organization & Equipment (TOEs) and/or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDAs) for units assigned to Medical Affairs Bureau to ensure stable and sustainable development of the military health system. Additionally, the Department is also responsible for proactively guiding and coaching military hospitals in establishing their respective business operations mechanisms to ensure management performance and in turn, guaranteeing high quality healthcare services to both armed forces personnel and civilians.

 

Aimed at constructing a modernized armed forces medical information management of “intelligence, smartness, and automation”, the Department also takes charge of planning and executing a development and innovation project of Medical Information Management to assist both military hospitals and field medical units in migration towards forefront of medical information, and in turn to ensure competitive edge of the military health system and sustainable effort in conserving fighting strength of the armed forces.
